2007 AFC East Odds
If only we felt the Buffalo Bills had a solid chance of winning this AFC East division, we could get nice 10/1 odds. Instead, our pick, the sportsbooks’ pick, and the worlds’ pick – the New England Patriots – is showing poor value at 1/5 odds at Bodog. Bookmaker lists the Patriots’ odds at -840 which is worse value yet.

This is really a wager that you’re going to want to avoid this season. Although we see virtually no conceivable way that the Patriots can lose this division, if Tom Brady were to go down injured, we would be out a ton of juice. Laying $840 to win a measly $100 is not a strong wager to say the least.
Now, I know that there are those of you with heavy duty bankrolls and in positions where money is no object. If this is your case, we recommend going full steam ahead on the Patriots. The only other team in this division which may be above .500 is the New York Jets and one can expect at least a game drop off after last season’s Cinderella run.
The Patriots have one of the most complete rosters in all of football and after missing out on the Super Bowl last season, they went out and got All-Pro wide receiver Randy Moss and established deep threat Donte Stallworth. Now, in the prime of his career, Tom Brady will finally have weapons to throw to.
New England also brought in versatile linebacker Adalius Thomas to help bolster their aging linebacker corps. The Patriots should win this division by at least three games in 2007.
