It looks like the Ohio State Buckeyes finally lost too many players to reload fast enough to challenge for another title. With eight Buckeyes headed to the NFL including star QB Troy Smith and premier wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr., Ohio State could finish as low as fourth place in 2007 – a very unfamiliar spot for the class of the league.
Wisconsin, believe it or not, has won more games in the Big Ten the last three seasons, than any other school in the conference. However, I don’t think the Badgers will capture a title this season. A strong running game, thanks to an NFL-caliber offensive line, will keep this team solid, but a lack of big play ability resulting from a freshman QB will hold the Badgers back.
The Iowa Hawkeyes stumble onto the fortune of not having to play Michigan or Ohio State this season. Having this schedule the past couple of years may have brought Kirk Ferentz another Big Ten title, but his team is likely just a little too young to get the job done this season.
The Michigan Wolverines should run the table in the Big Ten this year. With Heisman Trophy candidates Chad Henne and Michael Hart along with Mario Manningham, the Wolverines have one of the most potent offenses in the entire country. The defense is very physical and lighting fast. Not only will Michigan win the Big Ten, but we can expect to see this team in the BCS Title game this season
Because we are at least getting some bang for our buck on the Wolverines at 2/1 odds, we will not hesitate to pull the trigger on this wager. Sit, back, relax, and let the “Big Blue” cash your bets. If you want comp plays every week then sign up for our free college football picks.
