st Place – Philadelphia Eagles – With Donovan McNabb returning healthy is 2007, we can expect the Eagles to be the class of the NFC East. The Eagles have one of the best offensive lines in football which is why Jeff Garcia was able to succeed when he was under center in the second half of last season. Brian Westbrook emerged as an every down option and figures to be utilized more in 2007. This team’s only real weakness in 2006 was its defense against the run and I think you’ll see it greatly improve. If someone can emerge as a deep threat replacing Donte Stallworth, this team has the potential to win a Super Bowl in 2007.

nd Place – Dallas Cowboys – Tony Romo has the city of Dallas excited about football again. If he can prove that he is a legit star, this team could be on the verge of something special. He is going to have to dismiss going down in history as the QB who mishandled the snap in the playoffs. In other words, Dallas can’t afford a sophomore slump from this kid. The defense is loaded, and with Wade Phillips calling the shots, we can expect this unit to be more aggressive and therefore more successful.

rd Place – Washington Redskins – The Redskins really took a step backwards in 2006 as its once top ten defense dropped to second to last. The talent is still available on that side of the ball, so defensive coordinator Gregg Williams is sure to get his boys back playing hard nosed “D” again as his butt is on the line. The offense isn’t explosive enough or consistent enough to contend for a title this season. Looks like another sub .500 year for Washington.

th Place – New York Giants – It might surprise you that we have place the Giants in the cellar, but that’s where this team is heading. Without Tiki Barber in the backfield, the Giants lose their best offensive weapon. I don’t care how you look at it, that’s hard to overcome. The defense is aging and the pressure is one for Eli Manning and Tom Coughlin. If this team cracked last season under the pressure of Super Bowl talk, we fully expect them to crack worse in 2007.

There you have it. Those are our NFC East predictions. For a more in depth look at these teams check out our individual team predictions articles and for a look at other division in the AFC and NFC check out our divisional predictions as well.
