The Seattle Seahawks will continue to rule the roost in the NFC West division. If injuries to multiple starters last season, including All-Pro’s Matt Hasselbeck and Shaun Alexander, couldn’t keep this team from winning a title, I sure as hell don’t see these boys being dethroned with a healthy squad in 2007.

The rest of the division is catching up. The Rams, 49ers, and Cardinals will all put solid offenses on the field, but their defenses will continue to suffer. That’s where Seattle picks up their edge as they at least have a mediocre defense which will be better this season with restored health.

While this is one of the weaker leagues in the NFC now, it could be one of the strongest in the next several years to come. Arizona has a young, poised QB in Matt Leinart with top notch receivers around him. The 49ers have one of the game’s best backs in Frank Gore and the Rams are the other team in the league besides Seattle with an All-Pro backfield.

I’m actually surprised that we are able to get the Seahawks at such a great value as if the books didn’t take into consideration last years slew of injuries.

Seattle also boasts one of the best coaching staffs in all of football which consistently gets the most out of its players and is able to compete based on solid schemes alone. Holmgren will be ready to make another run at the big one after coming up just short two seasons ago.

While the rest of the league continues to mature its young talent, the experience of the Seahawks and their established roster will remain the class of this division.
