It doesn’t appear that anyone in the Pac-10 is getting past the USC Trojans this season. Jeff Alexander’s 2007 Pac-10 predictions provides insight. If you want information to help you beat the point spreads each week of the season then get signed up for our college football picks today.

The USC Trojans will remain the class of the Pac-Ten in 2007 behind a defense which could be the best in the country. This team won last year to silence the doubters and we can’t see them being touched in 2007. QB John Davis Booty will rule the roost and defensive end Sedrick Ellis will dominate at the line of scrimmage.

QB Nate Longshore and WR DeSean Jackson will be the deadliest hook up combination in the league and they will lead Cal’s dominant offense. The defense will have to find some young guys in a hurry to replace graduated starters. Cal has a great program, but it just isn’t as good as USC’s. Second best will have to do in 2007.

UCLA returns 20 talented, experienced players, yet we have this team finishing third. What’s the matter with us? Nothing! That just shows you how much better USC and Cal’s talent is. UCLA had its time in the sun when it beat the Trojans last season. Don’t count on that happening again.

Arizona State should benefit from an eight game home schedule. Dennis Erickson will bring a winning attitude to the desert and a solid running game will land the Sun Devils in the top half of this talented conference.

Oregon State is another very experienced squad with 18 returning starters. The defense is stacked with playmakers at every level which provides the Beavers with hopes of a higher finish, but a QB to fill Matt Moore’s shoes does not appear to be something they will have this season.

The Wildcats can play some defense. They return 10 starters from a unit that finished third best in scoring defense in the Pac last season, but the offense is beyond repair. The ‘cats will try a spread attack in 2007, and maybe they’ll go to the wishbone in 2008. These boys will try it all until they get an offense good enough to compete with the league’s elite.

The Ducks’ offense is top notch. They led this very talented league last season in that category. But they were as turnover prone as a seventh grade junior high squad whether Dennis Dixon or Brady Leaf was under center. Giving up too much against the run will hamper this team again which should be better than seventh with the talent they pull in, but they won’t be.

The Washington Huskies lack the offensive line strength and the playmakers to help out talented QB Jake Locker. Willingham is a good coach, but he’s found himself in a tough league and will endure a losing season.

The Washington State Cougars present the ability to score with QB Alex Brink and a quality receiving corps, but a very weak secondary will give up too easily what the offense works hard to gain. This team needs a change at head coach if you ask me.

The Stanford Cardinals get Chicago Bears legend Jim Harbaugh. Okay, well, maybe not legend, but he has a name which should get him some chances with top recruits and he has shown great rapport with his players. It’s going to take him awhile, but this Stanford program is taking a step in the right direction here after Harris drove it into the ground. The Cardinal should be better than 1-12 in 2007 if they can avoid the injury bug.
