Giants Dodgers Free Baseball Pick for September 3, 2010
The Kansas City Chiefs jumped out to a 14-0 lead over Green Bay, but they weren’t able to cover the 5.5-point spread. Fortunately, our Underdog Shocker play came through on the Tampa Bay Bucs to cushion the blow. All in all, it was another terrific NFL preseason. We went 16-8 (67%) for +700 units. Add that to last season’s 13-3 (81%, +969 units) Preseason run, and we are an Unmatched 29-11 (73%), gaining +1669 units the last 2 years!

Friday’s Free Pick:
MLB
1 Unit on San Francisco Giants +132
Bottom Line: San Diego’s recent slump has given hope to a Giants club that now finds itself only 3 games back. If the Padres don’t take care of business in their home series with Colorado, the Giants will have an excellent opportunity to cut into San Diego’s lead, considering the Giants have won 5 of their last 6 against the Dodgers. Zito’s recent struggles are no secret, but I expect him to bring his “A” game in this all-important series. It will certainly be to his benefit that the Dodgers are only hitting .246 against lefty starters this season. Zito should also benefit from 5 days of rest. Keep in mind that the Giants are 10-4 in Zito’s last 14 starts when he gets 5 days. The Dodgers will look to bounce back from back-to-back defeats, but that won’t be easy here, as they are just 1-5 in Billingsley’s last 6 starts. Plus, they are only 4-9 in his last 13 home starts vs. a team with a winning record. Take the Giants at a nice price.
