Since 1997, Duke has won 11 straight over Davidson. This used to be a game that the Dukies would look right past. Now that Davidson has risen to national prominence and after it took Duke right down to the wire a season ago, Coach K will not allow his boys to overlook Curry and company tonight. If Davidson was that good, there is no way that odds makers could justify giving them this many points unless they’ve completely missed the line and I don’t think they have. Davidson lost to Purdue by 18 points and this Duke team is as similar a team to Purdue as I’ve seen in terms of the way they play defense and they share the basketball, the only difference is that Duke is better! Duke is 8-1 ATS in home games versus good teams – outscoring their opponents by 4+ points/game over the last 2 seasons. Lay the number.
