Magic Win, Lose On Friday

The Orlando Magic received good and bad news on Friday, according to Julian Garcia of the New York Daily News. The good news is that the Magic defeated the New Jersey Nets on Friday, 95-85. The bad news? During the game, guard Vince Carter sprained his ankle and did not return to the court.
Carter had made six of 8 shots just before stepping on Magic guard Devin Harris’ foot and turning his ankle with about 2:55 remaining in the second quarter. Fortunately for Carter, X-rays were negative and the sprain was described as “mild.”
What is uncertain is Carter’s availability when the Nets play again on Sunday when they visit Toronto to face the Raptors. When more information becomes available, Slam Dunk Central will bring it to you.
