Week 3 College Football Lines

Things are heating up in NCAA Football and there has been much controversy surrounding the University of Michigan. Lloyd Carr and his Wolverines are 0-2 to start the 2007 season after losing to Division II App. State and a very good Oregon team, both coming on their home turf. This brings and intriguing match-up upon us when Michigan takes on Notre Dame. College Football Lines for Week 3 tell us that the Wolverines are a 7-point favorite at home. The Fighting Irish and the Wolverines have each lost their last 4 games overall. Notre Dame can’t seem to find and answer at quarterback while the Wolverines can’t stop the bleeding that is Michigan football. Lloyd Carr may already be gone as head coach of the Wolverines after this season. He is surely gone if he can’t beat an inexperienced Notre Dame squad at home Saturday.

Another very interesting match-up comes in a game that you might not expect. LSU takes on Middle Tennessee State and the Week 3 College Football Point Spreads show us that LSU is a 40-point favorite over Middle Tennessee. Who is Middle Tennessee you may ask? It’s the same team that pushed Louisville last week to a 38-35 shootout by halftime. The Blue Raiders eventually fell 58-42 to the Cardinals, but they definitely have the attention of LSU head coaches after this strong effort. A 40-point spread might have bettors jumping all over Middle Tennessee after seeing their output against Louisville. This may or may not be a wise idea. LSU won 45-0 over Mississippi State in their opener and put an embarrassing 48-7 beating on Virginia Tech last week. Both of these wins were against better quality opponents than Middle Tennessee State. Only time will tell if the Red Raiders can stay within this big spread. At first glance one would think so but LSU has been very impressive in the National Championship run thus far.
